Specialist in time leaps

The future of the dishwasher starts now, because all the appliances in the new dishwasher generation from Siemens – from the entry-level to the premium model – are connected for the first time. Thanks to the varioSpeed on demand function, practically all of their programs can be speeded up remotely, even when they’re already running. Another new innovation is that the appliance software always remains up to date. With the aid of updates, the owners can keep on adapting them to suit their wishes according to their life phase, for example, if something changes in their everyday life.

“We call this new appliance generation our ‘dishwashers ahead of their time’,” says CEO of Siemens Home Appliances Germany Roland Hagenbucher and explains: “Through connectivity and update capability we are laying the foundation for them to remain state of the art for many years to come, hence constantly adapting to the habits of their owners.
We are providing a bit more future security in an unpredictable world.” As such, Siemens is meeting a strong need among the population. According to a current study on “Kitchen and household after coronavirus”, more than one in three Germans (38%) wants home appliances that can adapt flexibly and individually to their own needs and those of the family. In the cities, the figure is even as high as 46%.

Simply turn the clock with speed on demand
The Siemens dishwashers not only adapt as the years pass, but also respond from moment to moment to changing requirements. One example is the new varioSpeed on demand function. What if your visitors arrive sooner than planned and the dishwasher still needs a lot more time? No problem: The dishwashing cycle can now be made up to three times faster via the Home Connect app. That’s also possible when the machine is already running, and no matter where you happen to be.

Buttons, touch or voice control
As with many other things in life, lots of people also have their own personal preferences when it comes to dishwashing. The favorite combination of dishwasher program and additional option can now be saved on a separate favorite button. A touch of the button is then all it takes to wash the dishes quickly and conveniently “as always”. As far as the type of operation is concerned, users of the new model series have the choice between touch and buttons directly on the appliance or remote control via the Home Connect app. In addition, they can receive push notifications on their smartphone or smartwatch, or give verbal commands with the aid of a voice assistant such as Alexa or Ok Google.

Time to shine for glasses, a welcome break for hosts
Another highlight that now makes dishwashing even more convenient is the new glassZone, with which Siemens Hausgeräte has created a “priority area” for valuable glasses: Six integrated nozzles clean them thoroughly and with care using a gentle, continuous flow of water. And no matter whether it’s a tumbler or a long-stemmed glass, every shape of glass is held safely in place on soft anti-slip elements: Wine and champagne glasses also have extra support for their stems through soft contact surfaces. The patented Zeolith system ensures sparkling results. With the aid of the natural mineral zeolite, it transforms moisture into heat that ensures a sparkling drying result. That means hosts can now also place valuable glasses, that would otherwise have preferably been washed by hand, in the dishwasher without any worries. And polishing them afterwards can even be dispensed with, since water stains are a thing of the past thanks to the new glassZone.

Built-in diversity for greater planning flexibility
As Europe’s number one specialist for built-in appliances, Siemens offers complete flexibility with its new dishwasher generation. Thanks to the wide variety of models, the appliances fit into any kitchen concept and setting: from the standalone model and partially or fully-integrated built-in models, 60 or 45 centimeters wide, to solutions for special mounting options such as installation at a raised level. And all that in the familiar elegant Siemens design with the fascinating blue light for the interior lighting and in the sidelight status display.
