Eye-catching and adaptable: Bosch introduces a new, integrated glass kitchen extractor in accent line carbon black

Munich, Germany. Kitchen extractors should either be eye-catching or
blend seamlessly into the kitchen – or both! Bosch is now adding a new,
integrated glass kitchen extractor to their successful accent line carbon
black product family that easily achieves a balance between design icon
and perfect synthesis. When it’s not needed, it can be lowered into the
countertop with the press of a button and is practically invisible. Nothing
stands between the cook and the kitchen environment, and movement is
completely unrestricted. In action, the extractor delivers exceptional
performance thanks to the EcoSilence Drive motor, PerfectAir air quality
sensor, and Guided Air, a special feature that guides the air flow. This
design highlight is also easy to clean and requires minimal effort to keep
it bright and shining. The new, integrated glass kitchen extractor can be
flexibly installed and matched to any kitchen style.

Unique glass design and attractive lighting
With its transparent glass design and attractive LED lighting, the new,
integrated glass kitchen extractor actively contributes to the living
ambiance of the kitchen. The glass plate is lit from below by an LED
module. The default colour is red, but users can set it to any RGB colour
depending on their requirements using the Home Connect app. The last
colour selected is saved. The frame is solidly designed, and the new,
integrated glass kitchen extractor is available in two versions. The
ComfortProfile model (DDW88MM66*) has levelled edges that seamlessly
bond with the cooktop: Visually, the two appliances merge into one. The
technical design of the flush-mounted version (DDW88MM65*) requires a
gap between the extractor and cooktop, creating an equally elegant twopart
look.

Full performance automatically
In addition to the powerful EcoSilence Drive motor, other innovative
technologies enable the integrated kitchen extractors from Bosch to
deliver results as perfect as those of traditional extractor hoods. The new
glass kitchen extractors feature the patented Guided Air technology from
Bosch that ensures optimal extraction of steam, even from the front
cooking zones. That’s because an additional air stream behind the glass
plate guides the steam directly into the extractor. The advantage: The air
above the cooktop stays clear, even at lower and much quieter extraction
levels. What’s more, the PerfectAir air-quality sensor “smells” the
presence of cooking steam, determines the level at which it needs to be
extracted, and automatically and efficiently adapts its setting. Thanks to
PerfectAir, the kitchen extractor no longer requires manual operation,
which makes it highly convenient while also saving energy.

An accommodating cleaning concept
The joy of having a pleasant atmosphere in the kitchen is equalled by the
convenience of Bosch’s cleaning concept. With the press of a button, the
filter cartridges are automatically raised to the service position, making it
easy to remove them from above and, ideally, put them directly in the
dishwasher. Care of the glass panel is also easy: It’s simply pulled up and
out for cleaning. And speaking of clean, the CleanAir Plus filter is also
available as an optional accessory for households with allergy sufferers.
It simultaneously acts as a pollen filter, filtering pollen out of the
surrounding kitchen air. The Long Life filter, which needs replacing only
once every 10 years, is also optionally available.

Customized installation and operation
Another convenient feature of the new, integrated glass kitchen
extractors is their flexible operation. They can be controlled in the
traditional way, via the control unit on the appliance, or they can be
controlled using the Home Connect app. Their convenience is enhanced
even more when they’re combined with a network-capable Bosch
cooktop. The extractor is easily activated and adjusted from the cooktop
with just a fingertip. And if you have an Amazon Alexa or Google
Assistant**-enabled device, you can use your voice to control the
extractor. Any variation can be used depending on the situation, meaning
that the ideal solution is always available. The installation options are
just as flexible. The motor can be freely repositioned up to three metres
away, for maximum flexibility. Unlike other downdraft hoods, even the
top drawer right under the cooktop and integrated glass kitchen extractor
is fully available for use, so no space is lost.
